Awami League (AL) advisory council member Tofail Ahmed on Thursday urged the government to form a committee to probe the Bhola incident.
“We are requesting the government to form a committee including the BNP lawmaker Rumeen Farhana to unearth what really was happened at the BNP rally in Bhola,” he said, reports BSS.
The ruling party lawmaker made this plea while responding to a statement made by BNP lawmaker Rumeen Farhana of women reserved seat-50 over Bhola incident under point of order at the Jatiya Sangsad in the capital.
Rejecting Rumeen Farhana’s allegation on shot dead of two BNP activists by the police in association with the Jubo and Chattra league cadres at a BNP demonstration in Bhola, the veteran ruling party lawmaker said “the BNP men carrying sticks and other weapons attacked on police from the rally in Bhola.”
