Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Saturday said BNP have a daydream about overthrowing the government.
He made the remarks while responding to questions by the journalists after paying tribute to national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam at his grave beside the University of Dhaka on his 46th death anniversary.
The Road Transport and Bridges Minister alleged that BNP’s only target is to topple the government as they don’t think about the people.
“Meaning of the overthrowing the government to them (BNP) is to grab the power, take back Bangladesh, once again Hawa Bhaban, destruction, their militancy, and communalism. This is a daydream. Nothing else,” he added.
Awami League Presidium Member Abdur Rahman, Joint General Secretary Dr Dipu Moni and AFM Bahauddin Nasim, among others, were present.
