A fire that broke out at a building in the capital’s Bijaynagar on Wednesday evening has been doused after frantic efforts of two hours.
The fire broke out at a building beside Hotel 71 around 6:30 pm and has been brought under control around 8:30 pm, said, Rafi Al Farooq, duty officer of the fire service control room.
A total of 13 firefighting units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze, he added.
The building consists of a restaurant, a warehouse and an electronics store.
However, the cause of the fire could not be known immediately and damages and casualties are also unknown, added the official.
