School girl killed in road accident in Dhaka

A school girl was killed and another injured, as a battery operated rickshaw hit them near Ashraf Master School in the capital’s Jurain area under Kadamtali thana on Wednesday morning, reports BSS.

The deceased was identified as Maria Akhter, 7, an inhabitant of the same
area.

Family sources said, on their way to school around 7:30am on Wednesday morning.

Being in critical condition, they were taken to Dhaka Medical College and
Hospital (DMCH), where doctors pronounced Maria dead.

Md Bacchu Mia, DMCH Police Camp Officer in charge (OC) said, the body
has been kept at the DMCH morgue for autopsy and Kadamtali police station have
been informed about the incident.
