Awami League Presidium Member Abdur Rahman on Saturday claimed that Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen is not a member of the party.
“Foreign minister is not a member of our party. So, Awami League will not take responsibility for what he said in Chattogram, he said.
Abdur Rahman made the remarks while briefing journalists after attending a discussion on August 15 in the capital’s Dhanmondi.
He asserted that Awami League is a party of the people. So, Awami League doesn’t depend on other countries' support to come into power.
Earlier on Thursday, in Chattogram, Abdul Momen said that he urged India to help the government to stay in the state power.
