The Florida residence of newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump is guarded by a dog called 'Spot,' which is actually a robotic dog, not a real one.
The robotic dog 'Spot' was created by the robotics firm Boston Dynamics. The dog is the latest addition to the U.S. Secret Service's stock.
Spot is either remote-controlled or autonomously operated. It is unarmed, but its legs are labeled with the warning, "This is not a pet," to alert people approaching Spot as it patrols Trump's expansive property.
Boston Dynamics states that the robot, equipped with metal legs, is capable of smoothly navigating various types of terrain, both elevated and flat.
The robotic dog, with its advanced surveillance technology, is able to effectively oversee various structures. However, specific details regarding the technical features of the robot dog assigned to Trump’s property have not been disclosed.
