Bangladesh received an injury blow ahead of the three-match ODIs against West Indies as Towhid Hridoy sustained a groin injury at Bogura on Wednesday, reports The Daily Sun.
A BCB official said that they are waiting for Towhid’s medical report as they are preparing for the three-match ODIs against
West Indies following the ongoing two-match Test series.
The visitors will play three T20Is against the host following the three ODIs.
“He (Hridoy) received groin injury and as a result, we are waiting for the medical report,” a BCB official told Daily Sun on request of anonymity.
Bangladesh team are already missing the service of Mushfiqur Rahim and skipper Najmul Hossain in the ongoing Test series due to their respective injuries.
While Mushfiqur Rahim is unlikely to make it in the ODI’s, team management is trying to see whether they can get the service of Najmul, though that looks highly unlikely.
The selection panel is waiting to get the report from the medical board sooner than later.
The three ODIs are scheduled at St Kitts respectively on 8, 10, 12 December while the three T20Is will be played respectively on 16,18,20 December at St Vincent.
