Jamaat-e Islami secretary general Mia Golam Parwar said the plots of the conspirators become active when we’ve started journey towards the elections.
“This activity is really alarming at the time when the nation is marching towards a national election, when it is embarking on a new dimension of handing over responsibility to elected representatives, he said.
He told this the reporters at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram on Thursday.
He also said,” The government is facing one challenge after another. We have to face these challenges firmly. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami will always be united with the government and the countrymen. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is an election-oriented party. Alhamdulillah, we have the preparation to provide candidates in all constituencies of Bangladesh.”
The Jamaat leader said, “The people of the entire country are shocked by the brutal and barbaric murder of young lawyer Saiful Islam Alif. We demand the immediate arrest of those involved in this murder. We demand that they be brought under the law as soon as possible and brought to justice. It is time for the government, including the three main advisors of the current Advisory Council, to deeply consider whether these activities, communal activities, violent activities and activities against the integrity of the country can continue or not. Otherwise, the entire countrymen fear a difficult situation before the nation. How can such a militant and terrorist organization continue to operate? Our country has laws. We think that a decision should be taken quickly based on those laws.”
Jamaat-e-Islami Central Assistant Secretary Maulana Mohammad Shahjahan, Chattogram Metropolitan Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shahajan Chowdhury, former Ameer of Chattogram South District and Chattogram Region Team Member Zafar Sadeq, Jamaat leader Professor Dr. Abu Hanifa Noman and others were present at the time.
