The committee tasked with preparing a 'white paper' on the state of Bangladesh's economy will publish the white paper on Monday next.
Dr Debapriya Bhattacharya, head of the committee, said this while speaking at a dialogue titled ‘Current Economic Situation and Launching of Open Budget Survey Result’ at the Economic Reporters Forum (ERF) auditorium on Thursday.
He said the white paper will be published on Monday. Prior to this, the committee will hand over it to Chief Adviser Dr Mohammad Yunus on Sunday.
“The committee tasked with preparing a white paper on the state of the economy has been given three months to complete the task. We have already completed our job. Now, its editing is underway. Hope we can submit it to the Chief Adviser on Sunday,” Debapriya added.
The senior economist also said many initiatives have been taken to bring changes in the country’s economy during the tenure of the interim government.
“The revolution will be failed if we can’t return the people’s property amassed by some persons through corruption,” he continued.
