The Bangladesh Meteorological Department(BMD) has forecast rain in three divisions over the next three days, with temperatures possibly dropping along with the rain.
This update was shared in a forecast by Dr. Md. Bazlur Rashid, a meteorologist at the department, on Thursday.
The forecast indicates that light rain is possible in certain areas of Khulna, Barishal, and Chittagong divisions within the next 24 hours. The rest of the country is expected to experience mostly dry weather with occasional partly cloudy skies. Light to moderate fog may form in some areas from late night to early morning. Overall, temperatures during the night and day are expected to rise slightly across the country.
Starting from 9 AM on Friday, light to moderate rain or thunderstorms may occur in some areas of Khulna, Barishal, and Chittagong divisions over the next 24 hours. Other areas will mostly stay dry with some cloudy periods.Light to moderate fog could form in parts of the country from late night to early morning. The night temperature may rise slightly across the country. In the southern region, daytime temperatures may drop slightly, while in other areas, the temperature is likely to stay the same.
From 9 AM on Saturday, light to moderate rain or rain with thunderstorms may occur in a few areas of Khulna, Barishal, and Chittagong divisions over the next 24 hours. Elsewhere in the country, the weather is expected to remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies. Light to moderate fog may occur in some areas of the country from late night to early morning.The night temperature across the country may increase slightly. The daytime temperature in the southern region of the country may decrease slightly, while in other parts of the country, the temperature may remain almost unchanged.
The BMD has also mentioned that the night and day temperatures may fall in the next five days.
