Jamaat-e Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman calls the countrymen to remain united regardless of party, relogions or thoughts.
He made this call while briefing reporters after a meeting with the Chief Adviser in Jamuna State Guest Hosue on Thursday evening.
The Jamaat Ameer said that there was a discussion with the chief advisor about remaining united on national issues.
“The issues that have recently created concern in the minds of the people were discussed. There was a lot of discussion about how to solve the problem by uniting everyone,” he said.
He said that there will be differences in party, opinion and religion, it is natural. But we should be in agreement in the national interest. Action should be taken against not only ISKCON, but also against those who go against the national interest.
Shafiqur Rahman said, “There was a discussion about resolving the issues that are infuriating the people, including the rise in commodity prices. Hence, the prices of commodities should be kept within the purchasing power of the people. In addition, there was a discussion about preventing anyone from creating an artificial crisis during Ramadan.”
In response to journalists' questions about the election, the Jamaat Ameer said that the minimum reforms should be carried out quickly and the election should be held. We have proposed more than 40 reforms. However, we have proposed reforms on 10 issues to the interim government. As a result, it has been proposed to hold elections after minimal reforms.
