The acting chairman of BNP urges everyone to unite as he feels that it’s time to focus on rebuilding.
“The people of Bangladesh have freed the nation from tyranny, and now it is time to rebuild the country. For that reason, We need to unite. We have proposed a 31-point plan to rebuild the country. Conspiracies against the country are still ongoing. We need to be careful”
He made these remarks on Thursday afternoon as the chief guest(joining virtually) at the final match of the Shaheed Zia Memorial Football Tournament, held at the Shahid Abul Kashem College grounds in Borobari, Lalmonirhat.
“In the future, we want to build a new Bangladesh with everyone regardless of party affiliation. Everyone will be evaluated based on merit. Hence, there is no alternative to staying united,” said the acting chairman of BNP.
He also said, “If BNP comes to power, it will focus on producing skilled cultural workers and athletes through various programs, similar to the 'Natun Kuri' initiative during Shaheed Zia’s time. Producing quality doctors and engineers is not enough; good politicians must also be produced. BNP will surely do that”
Tarique Rahman also put emphasis on sports as he talked about producing world-class players and athletes. He also talked about reducing overreliance on foreign players.
Tarique Rahman further added "Each individual will be recognized for his talent in a particular field, and he will be trained to excel in that area. BNP will create a new Bangladesh with the contributions of everyone."
