In the opening match of the five-match T20 series, Zimbabwe, batting first, faced a formidable challenge from the Tigers' bowling attack, getting bowled out for 124 runs. Now, Bangladesh requires 125 runs to secure victory at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Friday.
From 41 for 7 to 124, Zimbabwe will take this. Mahedi opened the pandora's box. The procession of wickets coninued as Saifuddin and Taskin chipped in with three wickets.
The visitors were left reeling as 4 of the top 7 were out for ducks, three of them for golden ducks. But Masakadza and Madande started the recovery and managed to add 75 runs for the 8th wicket. That partnership has allowed Zimbabwe to play with some sort of a score and look to fight it out.
Bangladesh despite needing 125 should look to track this down without losing much of a sweat. The wicket doesn't have too mnay demons and certainly is not a 125 kind of a wicket.
