Bangladesh's uncapped wicketkeeper-batter Jaker Ali has been taken to hospital after he was injured while fielding during the third ODI against Sri Lanka at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Monday, Cricbuzz reported.
Anamul Haque and Jaker Ali crashed into each other while attempting the catch of Pramod Madushan off the bowling of Taskin Ahmed. Jaker had to be stretchered off the field.
It hasn't been a good day for Bangladesh overall in the field in terms of injuries. Mustafizur Rahman also left the field in a stretcher after experiencing cramps whereas Soumya Sarkar copped an injury in the neck when he hit the advertisement board while stopping the ball. Tanzid Hasan was named the concussion substitute for Sarkar.
