Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will begin today (Friday), with Chattogram Challengers facing Sylhet Strikers at 2:30 pm at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital amid criticism.
A total of seven teams are participating in this year’s BPL, and they will compete in 46 matches at three different venues in Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet.
The players including Shakib Al Hasan and officials publicly criticized the BPL management for not adding the DRS system to the tournament from the beginning.
For the first time, BPL will be broadcast live on OTT platforms alongside TV channels.
This T20 competition will be seen in a total of 15 countries including Bangladesh.
In Bangladesh, the game will be watched on Nagorik TV and the OTT platform Daraz Live.
This year's BPL title sponsor is Ispahani and powered by sponsor Minister Group.
