Just before Cristiano Ronaldo signed for the Saudi Arabia club, Al Nassr manager Rudi Garcia joked about wanting to sign Lionel Messi first, reports Tribuna.
"First I wanted to bring Messi from Doha," Rudi Garcia said jokingly when asked about Ronaldo signing for Al Nassr.
Garcia is a self-proclaimed fan of Messi and his joke may not go down with Ronaldo, a player who fiercely rivalled Leo for many years until recently.
Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo will play for Al Nassr until he turns 39, whereas Messi is in contention to win the Champions League this season at PSG.
