IPL auction starts, Shakib unsold

The auction of Indian Premier League (IPL)-2023 started on Friday afternoon in Kochi of India.

Senior Indian players have been retained by the franchises while the younger Indian talent will be in focus given the limited purse value each team has for the IPL Auction 2023.

England sensation Ben Stokes and Sam Curran are expected to set the auction on fire while Harry Brook

English cricketer Harry Brook was sold for 13.25 crore Indian rupees. Sunrisers Hyderabad bought the batter.

Four Bangladeshi cricketers were on the auction list. They are Shakib Al Hasan, Litton Das, Taskin Ahmed and Afif Hossain.

But no team has shown interest to buy Shakib.
