Prominent star Mehazabien Chowdhury's debut film ‘Saba’ is currently being featured at various international film festivals following its completion. It has already been exhibited in several countries and has earned positive reviews.
The film ‘Saba’ made its world debut in the Discovery program at the 49th ‘Toronto International Film Festival’ on September, 2024,reports Kalerkantho.
The journey didn’t end there; in October, it was featured in the "A Window on Asian Cinema" section at the 29th BUSAN International Film Festival.
Following its screenings in Canada and South Korea, ‘Saba’ is now set to be featured at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia.
In the fourth edition of the festival, 120 films from 81 countries have been officially selected for screening. The festival will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from December 5 to December 14.
The announcement of Saba's screening in Saudi Arabia was made in a Facebook post by Red Sea. The film’s lead actress, Mehazabien Chowdhury, also shared the exciting news on her personal Facebook page.
Moreover, Mehazabien 's film has been selected for the Alternative Film Awards and Festival in Indonesia, scheduled to run from November 22 to 29.
Although ‘Saba’ has been featured internationally, it is set to be released in Bangladesh on 2025. Directed by Maksud Hossain, the film stars Mehazabien,with notable performances by Mostafa Monwar, Rokeya Prachi, and others.
