Tremors were felt in Dhaka and several other parts of the country on Monday night, causing concern among people.
The quake measured 4.0 on the Richter scale.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
The earthquake struck at around 9:30 pm.
Earlier, on June 12, a mild earthquake was felt in parts of Bangladesh, including Sylhet and Mymensingh.
