The 11-party alliance led by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has announced a new program demanding justice for disappearances, murders and the July massacre.
Hamidur Rahman Azad, the coordinator of the 11-party alliance, shared this information at a press conference at Jamaat's central office in Moghbazar on Monday morning.
Hamidur Rahman Azad has said that the 11-party alliance has called a protest rally in Bijoynagar in the capital on Tuesday afternoon, the day of the founding anniversary of the banned Awami League. Top leaders of the 11-party alliance will be present there. The alliance has also announced a protest march in all districts on July 4 with the same demand.
The coordinator of the 11-party alliance said, “The government has no problem with neighboring countries stockpiling weapons on the border. However, the 11-party alliance is concerned about incident like this. The government is also showing failure on the border killings and push-ins issues.”
Hamidur Rahman Azad also said that if any banned party wants to conduct its activities around June 23, it is the responsibility of the government, not any party, to prevent it. The law and order situation in the country is worse than before.
