Decision taken to celebrate 'Nazrul Year', notification issued

The government has decided to celebrate the period from May 25 of this year to May 25 of next year as 'Nazrul Year' (Nazrul Barsho) to spread the creation and philosophy of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam among the new generation.

A notification in this regard was issued by the Cabinet Division on Sunday.

The notification signed by Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Gani said that the declaration will be effective from May 25, 2026.
