Anvir Bashundhara Group (ABG) has distributed food items to 1,200 families affected by river erosion in Shibaloy of Manikganj district.
Anvir Bashundhara Group (ABG) distributed food items to the families affected by river erosion in Paturia area of Shibaloy upazila on Saturday (June 20) afternoon. Rice, pulses, oil, salt and other essential commodities were distributed to 1,200 families courtesy of ABG.
Manikganj-1 constituency MP SA Jinnah Kabir was present at the food distribution ceremony. Then, he said, “No one affected by river erosion will go hungry. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has instructed that no one should go hungry. Everyone's rights must be ensured and we are working towards that goal.”
Jinnah Kabir has said that Anvir Bashundhara Group (ABG) stands by people in any disaster. Thanks to ABG, essential commodities including rice, pulses, oil, salt have been distributed among 1200 families today.
He also said that work is underway to prevent river erosion, and permanent arrangements will be made to prevent river erosion in a few days.
Also present at the food distribution ceremony were Manikganj District Jubo Dal convener Kazi Mushtaque Hossain Dipu, former District Jubo Dal president Maksudur Rahman Mukul, Ghior Upazila BNP president Manikuzzaman Manik, along with district and upazila leaders.
