The Meteorological Department has said that strong storms and thundershowers with a speed of 60 kilometers per hour are likely to occur in 10 districts of the country.
This information was shared in the warning issued for the country's inland river ports until 1 pm on Friday.
It said that temporary gusty or stormy winds with a speed of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour may blow from the east or southeast over Mymensingh, Tangail, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Comilla, Noakhali, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet districts.
There is a threat of rain or thundershowers at the same time. Therefore, river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
