Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has said that the police force will be boosted up more.
The minister said this at a press conference at the Home Ministry meeting room at the Secretariat on Monday.
The minister said, “Today's press conference has been organized to inform the people of the country about how much hard work and effort the police are putting in as per the expectations of the people of the country. I want to recognize them for their efforts. This will encourage and inspire them and they will perform their duties with more integrity. I don't know if anything like this has happened before. We want to boost up the police force more so that they can perform their duties to establish the rule of law.”
He said, “We have given certificates to those who performed their duties in our three incidents. Some of them performed all their duties quickly in the Ramisa murder case. In addition, passengers were saved due to the extraordinary role of the naval police in Daulatdia; three of them and three others police members involved in the arrest of four accused in the Munshiganj gang rape case are being recognized. In total, we are recognizing 15 people today. This will boost their morale.”
“We have given everyone 20 thousand taka from the award fund and a certificate of honor. In addition, some have received badges,” the Home Minister added.
