Secret detention center have been found in Bogra police lines, where detainees were tortured in the name of interrogation.
The information was shared by Noor Khan, a member of the Commission of Investigation into Disappearances, at a press conference at the commission's office in Gulshan of the capital on Tuesday.
Noor Khan said, “A secret detention center like a prison was built inside the police lines, which is absolutely unusual. We found that in Bogra. We think we will find more such detention centers in many places.”
When asked whether these detention centers were built in the last 15 years, Noor Khan said, “They were built in the last 15 years, probably in the last 10 to 12 years. Prisoners were brought here from different districts, tortured in the name of interrogation, and many deaths may have occurred from too.”
