The Appellate Division has scheduled April 30 for the verdict on BNP leader Amanullah Aman's appeal seeking acquittal from his 13-year sentence. The decision was made by the Appellate Division, led by Justice Md Ashfaqul Islam, on Tuesday. Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon represented Aman in court.
Aman filed the appeal on September 12, 2023, challenging the 13-year sentence in the corruption case and requesting an acquittal. On May 30, 2023, the same bench of the High Court upheld Aman's 13-year sentence, along with a 3-year sentence for his wife, Sabera, in the case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
