Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman said the education system of the country was destroyed by the previous government. Educational institutions were turned into arsenals for extortion, occupation and hegemony to establish supremacy. July uprising laid the grave of that system. Inshallah, there will be no place for extortionists, hegemony and grabbers in Bangladesh.
Shafiqur Rahman made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural session of the central council of Islami Chhatra Shibir on Monday morning.
Islami Chhatra Shibir president Manzurul Islam presided over the council.
Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e-Ameer Dr Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, Secretary General former lawmaker professor Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Nayeb-e-Ameer professor Mujibur Rahman, Maulana Shamsul Islam and former presidents of Islami Chhatra Shibir also addressed the function.
