Khaleda Zia won’t attend FFs rally

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will not attend in person a rally of Freedom Fighters (FFs) in Dhaka to be organized by the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Muktijoddha Dal on Saturday next due to illness.

Party’s secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir revealed the information at a press conference at BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office on Thursday.  

Fakhrul said she (Khaleda Zia) has been sick since Tuesday night. She will not attend the scheduled rally as per the advice from her physicians.  

Earlier, on November 21, Khaleda Zia attended the Armed Forces Day reception at Dhaka Cantonment’s Senakunja, marking her first public appearance and participation in a state function in six years, since her imprisonment in February 2018.
