Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain called on visiting Timor-Leste President José Ramos-Horta at Hotel Sonogram on Sunday morning, reports BSS.
Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan also present during the call on.
The meeting marked the beginning of President Ramos-Horta’s packed schedule on the second day of his four-day official visit to Bangladesh.
His itinerary includes a one-on-one meeting with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus later on Sunday.
The meeting between the Bangladesh Chief Adviser and Timor-Leste president will be followed by a delegation-level meeting at the chief adviser’s office, according to the foreign ministry.
After the meeting, a joint press briefing will be held, during which the two countries are expected to sign agreements on visa exemption and a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for Foreign Office Consultations (FOC).
President Ramos-Horta arrived in Dhaka on Saturday night on a four-day official visit.
