Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan said India will take the initiative to increase the number of visas for Bangladeshis.
She said this while speaking at a press conference in front of the state guest house Jamuna on Monday evening.
The adviser said that India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri has said he will take the initiative to increase the number of visas for Bangladeshis. Dhaka has expressed its concern about the propaganda being spread about Bangladesh.
In response, Vikram Misri said the Indian government is not responsible for the misinformation being spread about Bangladesh. Various organizations are doing this, Rizwana added.
She said the government has also expressed concern about Sheikh Hasina's provocative speeches and statements staying in India.
India is willing to strengthen bilateral relations with Bangladesh further, said the adviser.
