BNP central leader and former minister Advocate M. Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu has said, "Fascism is ingrained in the blood and flesh of the Awami League. Therefore, people must unite to resist Awami fascism."
He made these remarks as the chief guest at a rally organized by the Singra Upazila BNP in Natore district on Friday afternoon.
Dulu stated, "This murderous Hasina and her party, the Awami League, carried out a massacre in Pilkhana under the guise of the BDR mutiny, conducted killings during the Hefazat rally at Shapla Chattar, and during the July uprising, they brutally murdered nearly 2,000 students and citizens by indiscriminately firing upon them.”
He has further claimed that the Awami League is now unofficially banned in Bangladesh.
“The people of this country have rejected them with disdain. They have seized power four times without votes through force. Obsessed with the dream of holding onto power until 2041, the Awami League has murdered patriotic and skilled military officers, along with countless conscious citizens opposed to their regime. They have established the culture of enforced disappearances and created the 'Aynaghar' ( Secret detention centers)."
The BNP leader alleged, "Now they are fabricating false narratives about minority persecution in Bangladesh while sitting in India, attempting to incite India's extremist Hindus against our country. However, Hindus in Bangladesh are currently better off and more peaceful than during the Awami League's 16-year rule. No atrocities are being committed against them. By spreading false propaganda, they are trying to disrupt the harmonious relationship between Hindus and Muslims in our country. Therefore, the people must remain vigilant and united to resist any conspiracy, internal or external, irrespective of party affiliation, religion, or caste."
