BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas said Tarique Rahman will return to the country soon as all cases against him have been withdrawn.
He came up with the observation while speaking at a discussion titled ‘Liberation, Democracy and Rights of Vote’.
Swadhinata Forum arranged the discussion at Jatiya Press Club on Sunday.
Mirza Abbas said the 21st August grenade attack was pree-planned by the foreign forces. They wanted to blame Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman for committing this misdeed.
Mentioning that an evil force is hatching a conspiracy to embarrass the interim government, he said that some people are misguiding the government by tagging the BNP with the Awami League.
Abu Naser Mohammad Rahmatullah, president of Swadhinata Forum, presided over the function while BNP Vice Chairman Barkatullah Bulu was present.
