BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed said that the injured in the anti-discrimination movement can’t get enough financial assistance although have got moderate treatment facilities.
He said the BNP would rehabilitate the injured and the families of the deceased if it assumed state power.
The senior BNP leader came up with the observation while visiting the injured at the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) on Thursday (November 14).
Salahuddin Ahmed said, “The condition of the injured is not satisfactory. The injured should be treated abroad. We urge the government to send the wounded abroad as soon as possible. BNP has distributed Tk 5 lakh among the injured. It has earlier extended the helping hand to the injured persons.”
BNP senior joint secretray general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi was present at that time.
