Education Adviser Dr Wahiduddin Mahmud said that if the university administration wants to hand over work of the second campus of Jagannath University (JnU), to the Army, the ministry has no objection.
He came up with the observation this afternoon (November 12) at the Bangladesh Secretariat.
Wahiduddin Mahmud said, “The issue of Jagannath University can be solved so easily that there was no need for movement. A new campus in Keraniganj has been approved by ECNEC, which they (students) don't know. There will be everything including dormitories. There is a plan about JnU which can be termed a mega project of the interim government.”
The advisor also said that the students have demanded the removal of the project director and appoint a new director. In this case, if the university wants, UCG and the Ministry of Education will provide all kinds of cooperation from their side.
They (students) asked for action against those involved in corruption in the project. This can be easily done through a white paper if the university wants.
The works of the ongoing projects of JnU have not stopped, the works will continue, Wahiduddin Mahmud added.
