No more torture cell to be created in educational institutions: JCD DU

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal’s (JCD) Dhaka University (DU) wing president Ganeshchandra Roy Sahosh has ordered the leaders and activists of Chhatra Dal to restrain their behavior under any circumstances.

He gave this instruction at a sit-in program organized at Raju Sculpture in Dhaka University at 2.30 pm on Sunday.

Addressing the activists, Ganeshchandra Roy said, "In the halls of Dhaka University, the allies of fascism have risen up to put the Chhatra Dal's image in crisis. Don't fall into that trap. You must control your behavior and activities. No chance should be given to the allies of fascism. In order to do Chhatra Dal politics, the sentiments of the students must be kept in mind. General students have to look at the pros and cons. If anyone wants to get involved in Chhatra Dal politics after seeing all this, we will welcome him. But if anyone thinks that he will live comfortably under the banner of Chhatra Dal in the changed context, then he is living in a fool's paradise.”

Addressing the general students, he said, 'In the past, the fascist Sheikh Hasina instilled fear in the general students in the way that the Chhatra League was established in the campuses by creating the guest room-common room culture, forcefully taking them to marches and meetings. The common students think that the Chhatra Dal will not do the same. I want to tell the students: Chhatra Dal will always do politics keeping in mind the sentiments of common students. Chhatra Dal has not done any kind of politics to torture or harass the students in the past, nor will it do in the future.”
