On the occasion of National Revolution and Solidarity Day, a large number of BNP leaders and activists have gathered to pay tribute to Ziaur Rahman, the founder of BNP.
At 11 AM today, led by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, leaders and activists from the party paid their respects at Ziaur Rahman's grave.
Since morning, leaders and activists of Dhaka Metropolitan BNP marched through various streets of Sher-E-Bangla Nagar. At the same time, party members from districts around Dhaka have been arriving by bus to join the gathering.
Meanwhile, due to the large crowd of activists, traffic congestion has increased in areas such as Tejgaon, Vijay Sarani, Farmgate, Agargaon, and Manik Mia Avenue.
A traffic police member at the Bijoy Sarani has informed that traffic congestion has increased in the area as people have come from various locations for BNP's program at Zia Udyan.
