The Chief Adviser of the Interim Government, Dr Muhammad Yunus, said, "The country must be developed in such a way that the world is drawn closer to Bangladesh."
He made this remark at 10 a.m. on Thursday while attending a seminar hosted by the Department of Physics, Dhaka University, at the Hotel InterContinental in the capital.
In seeking advice on state reforms to benefit from the student-people uprising, the Chief Adviser said, "We should not go to the world; the world must come to Bangladesh. The country must be developed in such a way."
He added, "The student-people uprising has brought about a renewed freedom of thought among the people."
During the seminar, Dr Yunus emphasized the importance of enhancing world-class research, stating, "The government is committed to implementing the necessary reforms to advance scientific inquiry. To this end, efforts will be made to gather reform proposals from all relevant stakeholders."
