Railway authorities are taking action against those involved in displaying the slogan “Awami League Zindabad” on a digital display board at Kamalapur Railway Station.
The incident drew attention at around 9am on October 26 when the slogan appeared on the LED digital display board installed above the main passenger entrance gate of the station, creating an embarrassing situation at the station.
Upon learning of the display, the electrical department responsible for the board promptly shut it down.
In response to the incident, the Divisional Railway Manager temporarily suspended the in-charge of the electrical department. A four-member committee has been formed, headed by the Divisional Transport Officer, to conduct a thorough investigation, with a directive to submit a report within two days.
The Dhaka Railway Police Station has filed a case against the railway electrical department regarding this incident. Additionally, the railway police superintendent of Dhaka has been informed and requested to investigate and take action against those involved.
