The interim government has approved a maximum age limit of 32 years for entry into government service. As a result, the candidates can apply for government jobs from now till the age of 32 years. However, the 'Students' Coordination Council’ has rejected this decision whose demand was to increase the age limit to 35.
Convener of the organization, Shariful Hasan Shuvo conveyed this message On Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
Shariful Hasan said, “We have been making movement for a long time to make the age limit for government jobs at 35. It has now decided to 32 years. This will not be accepted by the common students. Moreover, there is a condition that you can participate in BCS exam only 3 times, which is not acceptable at all. As a student passes his graduation at the age of 24 or 25, he can take the BCAS exam 5-6 times up to 30 years later. But due to the current conditions it’s not possible. Hence we have rejected this notification.”
