The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested the former Director General of the Directorate of Posts Sudhangshu Shekhar Bhadra.     

ACC Deputy Assistant Director Nazir Akand arrested him on Tuesday night.

The process is underway to produce the former chief of the Bangladesh Post Office before the court on Wednesday.

Earlier on August 20, the ACC filed a case against Sudhanshu Shekhar Bhadra over alleged irregularities in the purchase of servers and UPS worth Tk15 crore under a government project.

On September 23, 2020, a parliamentary body recommended the removal of Sudhangshu Shekhar Bhadra for his alleged involvement in widespread corruption and irregularities.
