Bangladesh recorded nine deaths from dengue in the past 24 hours till Saturday morning, marking the highest number of fatalities from the viral infection in a single day so far this year.
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a regular update in the evening.
With the fresh deaths, the toll rose to 210 since 1 January.
September has been the deadliest month for the mosquito-borne disease so far this year with 16,945 cases and 75 fatalities, DGHS data show.
