An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale was felt in large parts of the country, including capital Dhaka and Chattogram at 7:13 pm on Wednesday.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter of the earthquake was 31 km East-southeast (ESE) of Mawlaik, Myanmar.
It was 94.7km depth and its location was 23.539°N 94.695°E, said the USGS.
