The heat wave with different intensities continues in most parts of the country while the met office so far couldn't predict any further change of this situation within the nearest possible time, reports BSS.
"Very Severe heat wave is sweeping over Jashore and Rajshahi districts and severe heat wave is sweeping over the rest part of Khulna division and Tangail, Faridpur, Gopalgonj, Naogaon, Pabna and Nilphamari districts. Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Barishal division and the rest part of Dhaka, Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions and Mymensingh, Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Chandpur, Noakhali, Feni and Bandarban districts and it may continue", a met release said.
Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with hails at isolated places, said the met forecast valid for next 72 hours from 9 am on Monday.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Country's highest temperature on Sunday was recorded 42.2 degrees Celsius at Jashore and minimum temperature was 20.0 degrees Celsius at Srimangal.
