Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Sunday predicted that the existing mild to moderate heat wave sweeping over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and the districts of Nilphamari and Netrokona may spread in the next 24 hours from 9 am Sunday, reports BSS.
“Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may rise slightly over the country,” the weather bulletin said.
Country’s maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 40.0 degrees Celsius at Rangamati and the minimum temperature was 20.4 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.
