Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Samanta Lal Sen on Saturday said no disruption was seen in health services in the country's hospitals during the Eid, reports BSS.
The minister told reporters while briefing reporters after a surprise visit to the Kurmitola General Hospital and the Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital in the capital.
Sen said, “Before Eid, I gave directives to all concerned in this regard. I also talked with the concerned authorities of hospitals in Dhaka and other divisions. They have ensured me that no disruption was seen in health services during the Eid. The doctors, nurses and other employees also performed their duties with sincerity.”
He said this type of visit at hospitals will be continued.
About Dengue situation, Sen said, “I did meetings with concerned authorities. The secretaries also held meetings. About all doctors of the country have experience about the treatment of Dengue patients.”
State Minister for Health Dr Rokeya Sultana, Health Services Division Secretary Md Jahangir Alam and Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Director General Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam, among others, were present.
