The director of Rab’s legal and media wing Khandaker Al Moin said Rab’s tactics to rescue the abducted bank manager have worked.
He said this on Friday in a media briefing about the rescure operation of bank manager Nezam Uddin and next operational activities of Rab.
Khandaker Al Moin said, “There were 10 to 12 terrorists of the Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF). They had weapons and all participated in looting activities. Before the kidnapping, they asked the bank manager for Tk of one crore rupees and said if the can give it, they will release him. They want the key to the vault. But the manager is very brave; He avoids everything with tact.”
Khandaker Al Moin also claimed in the briefing that the terrorists tried to carry out a cyber-attack by exploiting the bank manager's laptop.
He said after the attack on the bank, they took away the manager's laptop. They tried to open the laptop and launch a cyber-attack. But they couldn't do it because of the manager's tactics.”
The Rab official said the operation will be conducted from Friday. He said, “We have adopted some strategies, which are still ongoing. They have committed several crimes in the last three-four days. They simultaneously attacked another bank and a police outpost. They have several groups, and their members participated in the attack all together.
