Like every years, a total of five Eid congregations (jamaats) will be held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital on the day of the holy Eid-ul-Azha on June 29, reports BSS.
The first Eid jamaat will be held at 7am while the next four Jamaats will be held at 8am, 9am, 10am and 10.45am respectively, an official release said.
Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Pesh Imam Hafez Maulana Ehsanul Haque will conduct the first Eid jamaat while the Mosque's Khadem Abdul Hadi will perform the duty of Muqabbir in the prayers.
Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Pesh Imam Maulana Muhiuddin Kasem will conduct the second jamaat while other three jamaats will be led by Mawlana Dr Abu Saleh Patowari, Islamic Foundation Director and Imam Maulana Md Anisuzzaman Sikder and Islamic Foundation's Imam Maulana Mohammad Abdullah, Mufti respectively.
Maulana Zakir Hossain, Deputy Director of Islamic Foundation will act as an alternate Imam if any Imam fails to be present during the aforesaid five Eid-congregations.
In case of inclement or hostile weather, the main Eid congregation at the National Eidgah will be shifted from 7:30 am to 8:00 am in the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
