At least seven people were burned dead after the gas cylinder of a microbus exploded on Dhaka-Khulna highway at Maligram in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur district on Saturday.
It is reported that three women, two men and two children are among the dead.
According to the sources of Bhanga upazila Fire Brigade, except for the driver Mridul (40), all those in the ambulance died on the spot. The driver was taken to hospital in critical condition.
Tayumul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bhanga Highway Police, said a fire broke out in the microbus as its gas cylinder went ofF.
On information, police and fire service men rushed to the spot.
