The Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit (CTTC) members on Friday arrested the founder of militant group Jama'atul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya Shamin Mahfuz and his wife from the Demra area of the capital, reports UNB.

A large number of arms and explosives were seized from the arrestees at the time.

DMP Additional Commissioner of Police (CTTC) Md Asaduzzaman will brief the incident to the media at DMP media center on Saturday noon.
