Bangladesh Awami League (AL) has chalked out various programs marking its founding anniversary across the country on Friday.
The programs include hoisting national and party flags at the party’s central office and party offices across the country at dawn.
Leaders and activists of the party will pay homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a floral wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu in the capital’s Dhanmondi at 7:00 am.
Awami League central committee will pay tribute to Bangabandhu at his Tungipara mausoleum at 10.30 am.
Marking the day, a discussion will be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the afternoon.
Awami League President Sheikh Hasina will address the discussion as the chair.
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader called upon the leaders and activists of the party and its associate organisations to celebrate the founding anniversary successfully.
